"Merlin's Stroke" is a cocktail table made from an actual Rolls Royce Merlin V12 engine crankshaft.
The table has a stainless steel round base bolted to the crankshaft output flange. The entire table rotates on a bearing in the base bottom. The 30" round glass top is held by a polished stainless steel propeller hub with P-51 cut outs as propeller blades. The P-51 cutouts are 3/16" stainless steel with "Merlin's Magic" race number 22 and the air force star logo cut out with a water-jet cutter. Noses are painted red and tails are painted yellow to match "Merlin's Magic" colors.
A real unique piece for the Plane Junkie who doesn't quite have everything yet, but would be closer with this piece of air race history.
