B-3 Authentic Sheepskin Jacket

Long missions and cold temperatures made the life of crewmen uncomfortable until the introduction of the Sheepskin B-3. With its warmth and wicking excess moisture capabilities the B-3 jacket became an essential staple for the crews of B-17 bombers. Cockpit USA’s addition of warm side entry pockets in 1978 adds to the practicality of this jacket. Please note that the shearling is tanned to “antique” as you wear it, giving “highs and lows” in the color so it looks as if you had this jacket since WWII.
