The Yankee Clipper by Mark Karvon
Space Craft: Apollo 12 Command and Service Modules
Perhaps no other Apollo crew had as good a time on their lunar voyage than the men of Apollo 12. It was the second mission in which men walked on the moon. Veteran astronauts Pet Conrad and Richard Gordon were joined by rookie Alan Bean to make the flight in November of 1969. I have always been fascinated with the design of the Apollo spacecraft. This print is a study of the Apollo 12 Command and Service Modules - "Yankee Clipper". Pete Conrad and Al Bean made an unprecedented pinpoint landing close to the landing site of Surveyor 3 while Dick Gordon remained in lunar orbit.
