During WWII, the US Navy issued a specialized leather coat to officers deployed on long range sub hunting missions, blimp crews, and crewman of aircraft carriers deployed in the Atlantic, North Pacific, and Aleutian Islands. Reengineered, and exclusive to Cockpit USA, the M-69D is made of the finest military grade goatskin, a genuine mouton fur collar for complete warmth and features a hand stenciled “USN” under the collar, replicating the process originally used by naval Quartermasters.
