Atlantis STS-98 photographic print with cargo bay liner signed by Mission Specialist Thomas Jones
Thomas (Tom) David Jones was one of three Mission Specialists on the STS-98. The crew launched February 7th, 2001 at 23:13 UTC aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis, becoming the first human spaceflight of the 21st century. Its primary objective was the delivery and installation of the Destiny Laboratory Module to the International Space Station.
On this, the last of his four career spaceflights, Jones and fellow mission specialist Robert (Bob) Curbeam performed all three extravehicular activities to connect and inspect every technical and structural element of the addition– the third of which marked the 100th spacewalk in United States spaceflight history. This limited-edition photographic print has been individually signed by Tom Jones and is matted to include a piece of genuine flown cargo bay liner from the Atlantis. Certificate of Authenticity included.
